EASE Certification
The EASE Certification marks a building’s Excellence in Accessibility Standards and Environment and signifies its compliance with Indian accessibility standards. The buildings awarded with EASE Certification get recognised as ‘EASE Buildings’. This certification system serves as a common language, indicating a business’s level of accessibility to all the target groups. Displaying EASE certification highlights inclusivity efforts, building trust and credibility with customers, especially individuals with disabilities and their caregivers.

The Certificate of Excellence
EASE certification represents more than just a badge — it symbolizes trust, transparency, and commitment to inclusive spaces. Backed by a standardized evaluation system, this certification ensures a consistent and credible assessment of accessibility features across built environments.
How EASE Certification work?
The EASE certification functions on the core principles of “Enter, Move, and Function”. To achieve an EASE certificate, any place must ensure that it accommodates diverse user needs to enable:
•Ease of entry into the place,
•Ability to move around freely, and
•Access to the primary building functionality.
All physical components of a built environment that impact these three principles must be accessible. These components are known as the ‘core areas’. The above condition means that these core areas must collectively achieve at least 60% of the total achievable score. And not even a single indicator within them can score ‘0’ individually, which is considered inaccessible.
Setting the Standard for Foundational Accessibility
EASE Core Certificates are awarded to built environments that meet mandatory accessibility requirements across the core areas. This certification confirms that certain or all user groups can enter, navigate, and access the building’s primary features without barriers.
What This Means for Your Visitors
Everyone who enters your space can feel confident knowing your building meets essential accessibility standards. Empowering them to independently enter, move through, and use its primary functions with ease and dignity.

Recognizing Enhanced Accessibility Beyond the Essentials
EASE Apex Certificates are awarded to built environments that go beyond the foundational Core standards. They meet mandatory accessibility requirements for additional services and facilities within the building. These include extended amenities and features that support a more complete, inclusive experience for all users.
What This Means for Your Visitors
Beyond simply accessing your building, visitors can confidently engage with a wider range of services and spaces. Knowing that these areas have also been designed to support independence, dignity, and ease of use. From amenities to additional facilities, accessibility is considered at every level of the experience.

EASE Certification Levels
Both certification types, EASE Core and EASE Apex, have four levels:
Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.
The certification level is determined by the number of target groups the built environment accommodates.
